What is Railspare?
A matching platform for rolling stock spare parts. You post a request for quotation, suppliers who cover that type of part are alerted, and those interested contact you directly with their quote. We do not sell parts ourselves.
How much does it cost?
Nothing for rail operators. There is no account to create, no fee to post a request and no commission on the order you place with a supplier.
Who can see my contact details?
Only the suppliers who choose to take on your request receive your name, company and contact details, so that they can send you a quote. We do not sell or share your data for any other purpose.
How quickly will I receive quotes?
We review every request before it goes out, then suppliers covering that part are alerted straight away. How many quotes you get, and how fast, depends on how many suppliers cover the part. Setting a "Quotes needed by" date helps suppliers prioritise.
What should I include in my request?
The part name or reference, the original manufacturer if you know it, the quantity and the delivery address. Drawings or a photo of the worn part help suppliers quote accurately: you can attach up to 5 files. Send one request per type of part.
